FDA approved dry eye treatment

Intense Pulsed Light or IPL is the new treatment for dry eyes. It is an FDA approved dry eye treatment which is available to our patients at our eye care center in Sugar Land.

How does it work?

IPL can help with dry eye and ocular surface disease through several mechanisms, most notably - reducing inflammation, improving the function of the meibomian glands, killing demodex mites and other surface bacteria which can lead to blepharitis, as well as reducing the appearance of telangiectatic blood vessels (spider veins on the eyelids).
